Ohlins shocks are known throughout the world as the finest quality shocks available for any application, the superior design and craftsmanship gives you ride that is second to none. Pioneer Performance custom tunes many of the rear shock for rider weight (by installing it

s own Ohlins spring based on rider weight), giving you a greatly improved ride over the standard Ohlins setting. Many of our shocks feature both adjustable compression and rebound adjustments, which give you a much greater range of tuning and improved ride over compression adjustable only Ohlins. Specify rider weight when ordering. All shocks with springs have adjustable pre-load, and come with a spanner wrench, and installation and set-up guide. Look for the shocks for your application and check the legend below for the type of shock you're interested in. 

RX-1, WARRIOR, VIPER OHLINS REAR SHOCK SPRING

If you’ve purchased a Ohlins shock for the rear of your Viper, RX-1, '05 Rage, or Warrior and the ride is not as good as you had hoped, our optional spring is the answer. The standard spring is on the stiff side (too high of a rate), by installing our optional spring you’ll get the ride you hoped for when you installed the shock, the ride you should get from an Ohlins. This spring is good for a rider up to 260 pounds.

FOX FLOAT SHOCKS

If you’re an aggressive bump rider looking for the ultimate in ride and light weight the Fox Float shocks are for you! The rising rate of the “air spring” allows for a plush ride in the small stuff, when stroke increases the air “rates up”, handling the large bumps without bottoming. Handling might not be quite as positive as a coil over shock, but we feel these (Fox Floats) do a better job of eliminating bump feed back through the front end and bars. Fit all Vector and Apex and Attak models, comes with all hardware and air pump.

APEX GYT SHOCKS

These are the same shocks used on the new Apex GT. With these shocks you have the ability to adjust both compression and rebound, to fine tune for the type of ride you desire. Fit all Vector, Rage, Apex, and Attak.

NYTRO GYT SHOCKS

KAYABA REPLACEMENT SHOCKS

XT, V-Max, Venom, or ’04 Viper owners, replace your stock steel bodied shocks with high quality aluminum bodied Kayaba’s! These shocks are completely re-buildable and re-valvable, come with springs, and we will custom valve them to suite your riding style. If your looking to save some money, we have used aluminum bodied Kayaba’s, which have been re-built, and we will also custom valve to suite your riding style. Fit all long travel two stroke Yamaha’s from ’97-’05 with long travel suspension.

RX-1 ALUMINUM KAYABA REPLACEMENT SHOCK

Fits '03-'04 RX-1, Warrior & '05 Rage

Replace your Kayaba steel bodied non re-buildable rear shock on the '03 & '04 RX-1, '04 & '05 Warrior, and '05 Rage! We take a new Kayaba aluminum bodied re-buildable shock and install our custom progressive valving. To make it even better we install one of our Quick Spring Adjusters for easy tuning. When installed you’ll experience an excellent slow speed ride along with the ability to ride through the bumps aggressively without fading. Specify rider weight when ordering. Comes with installation and set-up instructions, hardened spacer, plastic spacers, and control rod spacers, everything needed for factory like installation to improve both ride and handling.

RX, FX SKI SHOCK SPRINGS

RX-1, Warrior, Nytro FX, Nytro MTX

These 2.3 kg/mm springs work for several applications to improve riders needs. 

The RX-1 & Warrior suffer from excess body roll, the result is poor handling due to not being able to set the outside ski while cornering. Our heavier springs increase rate more rapidly than the stock springs allowing you to run less pre-load (to improve handling), which reduces ride height & roll center. If you’ve tried a heavier stabilizer bar and longer links and you’re looking to further improve handling, our front suspension springs may be what you’re looking for! The rate of our new springs is 2.3 kilogram per millimeter straight rate, as compared to the 1.9-3.0 kg/mm on 2003 models, 1.9 kg/mm on '04 & '05models, and 2.1 kg/mm on Warrior models. The higher rate will plant the outer ski improving handling while increasing stability, by reducing body roll.

The Nytro FX is on the firm side as far as the front end ride. Reducing the dampening adjustment still doesn't take care of the problem. By replacing the stock 2.5 kg/mm springs with a set of our 2.3 springs, ride is improved, making the front end more compliant in the smaller bumps.

The Nytro MTX uses a very soft 1.7 kg/mm rate front spring. These springs work fine for certain conditions, but on the trail it creates excess body roll. By installing a set of our 2.3 springs the MTX will be much more stable and predictable when turning.

Pioneer Performance is an authorized service center for Yamaha Kayaba and Soqi (RX-1) shocks. Whether you’re looking to change the ride of your sled, freshen your shocks up after a hard season of riding, or you have some much needed repairs, we can handle all of your shock service needs, we can change a complete shaft assembly if necessary ! We can also handle your Yamaha Ohlins shock service and repair needs. Standard re-build includes changing the oil, floating piston O-ring, and re-pressurizing. Re-valve includes re-build service plus valving change and shims ($47.95 covers both the re-valve and re-build).

QUICK SPRING ADJUSTER

he standard double nut design on the aluminum bodied Yamaha Kayaba and Soqi (RX-1), shocks can be a nightmare when trying to adjust spring pre-load! Our Quick Spring Adjusters feature a trust bearing located under the spring making no locking system necessary. A grip area is machined into the adjuster at the base, making adjustment in almost all situations possible without tools, simply turn the adjuster by hand and go. Kayaba adjusters fit all aluminum bodied Yamaha Kayaba shocks used on SX(R), SRX, XTC & SX Viper front, center, and rear shocks, Soqi adjusters fit '03-'04 RX-1, Warrior, center and ski shocks, and Apex ER and Attak front shocks.

OHLINS SHOCK EXTENSION

Add an extra inch of travel to your SX or SRX equipped with Ohlins shocks in the front. By installing these shock extensions it allows you to ride more aggressively with improved ride and gives increased “drop out”, improving handling under power. These extensions also work excellent when installing rear long travel. Sold by the pair.
